The jury in the Lindsay Clancy trial is deliberating for the first full day, and the Duxbury mom’s fate now rests with them after yesterday’s closings. The Herald is in the courthouse to report on anything that goes on. We will post it all here…
1:34 p.m. Reddington is back. A reporter called out to him before going inside, and he seemed exasperated when he turned around.
1:30 p.m. The court is in recess until 2 p.m. Reddington was spotted walking out of the courthouse with a cart full of files.
11:10 a.m. Jodie Wild and Camille Jones from Marylou’s Coffee stood in the parking lot Friday morning with free coffee for the reporters who have been covering the case. They said they’ve see journalists at the courthouse every day for the month and wanted to give back.

11:07 a.m. TV cameras are ready for a verdict when and if it comes:

10:49 a.m. Reddington has left the courthouse. Like usual, a swarm of reporters followed him on his way out.
10:45 a.m. The jury apparently wanted to see the pills and the knife, Reddington said. A gaggle of reporters just tried to cram into the elevator with Reddington.
10:42 a.m. Because of a court order, reporters are not allowed to conduct interviews in the hallways, even if they are not recorded.
10:33 a.m. Rosemary Scapicchio and Andrew Meyer, lawyers representing Clancy in a wrongful death suit she’s filed against her providers, have been here throughout the trial and have been moving between the courtroom and overflow room all morning.
10:29 a.m. The judge handed the clerk a big of pill bottles, other outlets are reporting they saw.
10:11 a.m. We are asked to leave the courtroom after sidebar without hearing what the question was.
10:04 a.m. Two additional journalists just tried to get into the courtroom, but because there was no space in the media section, they had to leave.
10:01 a.m. Counsel is at sidebar.
10:00 a.m. We’re back in the courtroom, waiting to hear what the jury asked. Again, it’s pretty much only media, Clancy’s family, including her mother, father, and sister, who are here today.
9:50 a.m. Court officers are mentioning that the jury has a question.
“Already?” one of the officer said.
9:32 a.m. Notes on the jury: Throughout the trial, the 18 jurors who sat and listened to evidence appeared to pay close attention to the testimony they heard, taking pages and pages of notes. Few of them appeared to get emotional during moments when Clancy and members of the public were visibly upset — except for one woman juror who is in the deliberation room and was seen crying at key moments, including Patrick Clancy’s 911 call and medical examiner testimony.
9:28 a.m. From the hallway: There are not many members of the public waiting around the courthouse today, the lowest number we’ve seen in weeks. There are dozens of journalists taking up all the seats out here that are lined against the wall, waiting and watching for a verdict.
There aren’t a lot of outlets, but reporters are gathered around them.
9:13 a.m. The jury has the case and everyone has been escorted out of the courtroom,.
9:11 a.m. After alternates jurors were drawn randomly yesterday, there are nine women and three men deliberating.
9:09 a.m. The jury is being brought back into the courtroom before they continued their deliberations for the day.
