FITCHBURG — It’s the end of an era for the annual River City Rhythm & Rock Festival, which will have its fifth and final iteration this coming weekend.
The free community event taking place on Saturday, Aug. 29 from 2 to 10 p.m. at Riverfront Park will include live music, art, and entertainment. Featuring an incredible lineup of local and regional performers, the event showcases a diverse mix of music genres including hip-hop, jazz, R&B, rock, and more, bringing the energy and spirit of the local creative community to the city.
“The idea is simple – amplify voices that don’t usually get heard on big stages,” CoFF33 Corp CEO and Founder Derek Craig said previously of the yearly festival he organizes along with others. “I want families to see artists who look like them and sound like them performing professionally. I want emerging artists to experience what it’s like to perform with quality sound and lighting for a real audience. And I want our community to discover the incredible talent that’s been here all along.”
Whether you’re a music enthusiast, art lover, or simply looking for a fun-filled day along the river, the River City Rhythm & Rock Festival offers something for everyone, and all are invited to celebrate the vibrant culture and talent that make the community shine.
