ASHBURNHAM — The Ramble music festival returns to town this coming weekend for its 17th consecutive year.

Launched in 2010 by Boston-based folk-rock band Adam Ezra Group as a means of raising funds to prevent veteran homelessness in the Northeast, the one-day event on Saturday, Aug. 29 will feature live performances by the band and other independent bands including Ryan Montbleau, Sirsy, Jeff Kazee, Chad Hollister, Kaliloops, Steve Hartmann, Clover Stieve, and Bella Ann.

All performers and festival crew members are donating their services for the pay-what-you-can event, which is once again being held at The Mountain festival grounds located at 64 Gibson Rd. It runs from 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and will also be livestreamed virtually on the Adam Ezra Group Facebook page.

The Ramble raises money through donations from attendees and other generous donors and sponsors. Since 2013 all proceeds have benefited the New England Center and Home for Veterans (NECHV) in Boston, a multidimensional service and care provider that assists veterans who are facing challenges with a broad array of programs and services that enable success, meaningful employment, and dignified, independent living.

“The Ramble reminds us of the power we have when we come together as a community,” said Adam Ezra, front man of the Adam Ezra Group and co-founder of RallySound. “It is by far the most inspiring thing we get to do through our music and all of us, musicians and volunteers alike, are fueled and inspired by the experience throughout the year.”

An impressive $750,000 has been raised to date for NECHV through The Ramble. The family friendly affair always draws a good crowd of people who enjoy the laid-back vibe and besides all the talented musicians featured there will also be food, art, massage, games, vendors, and more.
