The Ohio State Buckeyes finished with a 12-2 record last season. Ohio State finally ended its four-year losing streak against the Michigan Wolverines, but they lost to the Indiana Hoosiers in the BIG10 title game and also against the Miami Hurricanes in the college football playoffs. Head coach Ryan Day is looking forward to the 2026 college football season, and it will be a difficult schedule for the Buckeyes to handle.

One of the biggest alarms in college football is that the Cleveland Browns released a player named Dae’Quan Wright, who is a tight end and played for the Ole Miss Rebels a season ago. Wright is now going back to play college football with the LSU Tigers for this season under head coach Lane Kiffin. Many people do not like that this is happening.

Once a player declares for the NFL Draft, they should not be allowed to come back and play college football. However, NIL, different NCAA rules have gone crazy that this is occurring. Something needs to be done about this. The Buckeyes head coach said,

“If there are teams that have some players out there who are cut from NFL rosters that are gonna be on other teams, we have to at least consider it and look at it. Do I like anything about it? Absolutely not, but we gotta do what’s right for Ohio State.”

The NCAA needs to step in and stop this madness. It is understandable why Day is thinking this. Well, he knows that it isn’t right, but he also understands that if this is going to occur, then maybe Day should look into this madness as well. Ohio State has enough talent on the roster to begin with that they don’t need to be doing this. The only reason why Wright went back to college and LSU to join Kiffin is because Kiffin is the ultimate devil.
