LUNENBURG — Music lovers can kick back and enjoy the final days of summer when The Last Duo brings an evening of acoustic favorites to the Lunenburg Public Library.

The duo of veteran performers Dan Sirois and Greg Decoteau will perform from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 26, in the Wallace Community Room at the library, 1023 Massachusetts Ave.

Featuring guitars, mandolin and keyboard, Sirois and Decoteau combine strong vocals, sweet harmonies and years of performing experience to create an entertaining evening of familiar songs.

The Last Duo’s repertoire spans generations and genres, with favorites by such artists as The Everly Brothers, America, Simon & Garfunkel, Roy Orbison, Johnny Cash, Neil Young, Cat Stevens, Jim Croce, Crosby, Stills & Nash and Tom Petty, among many others.

The musicians’ blend of exceptional musicianship and familiar melodies has made The Last Duo a crowd-pleasing act, with performances designed to have audiences singing along, applauding and leaving with a smile.

“We feel the greatest joy when audience members tell us that we just performed the soundtrack of their lives,” said Sirois. “Our mission has always been to share the music that we love and leave them with smiles on their faces!”

Registration is encouraged but not required.

The concert is part of the Lunenburg Public Library’s Monthly Music Series and is sponsored in part by funding from North End Subaru.
