Starbucks is open, Chick-fil-A is on the way in Fitchburg

Coffee aficionados can now get their fill at the new Starbucks coffee shop in the middle of the Twin City Plaza on the Fitchburg-Leominster line, more commonly known as Kmart plaza. While nothing new has opened at the old Kmart yet, the opening of Starbucks is just one of many recent changes at the plaza. Paving work has been done in the parking lot near the new Hungry Bowl Manchurian barbecue restaurant, near Town Fair Tire, where a new Crumbl location is still expected to open sometime in the future. And for those local residents who were impressed by the fare offered by the Chick-fil-A food truck last year at the Mall at Whitney Field, the wait is almost over for a full Chick-fil-A restaurant at the location of the former Uno’s at the Twin City Plaza. The building is up and finishing touches are still being worked on.
