LAKE KATRINE – A 30-year-old Kingston woman has been arrested on a charge of criminal contempt for violating a full stay-away order of protection in place for an unidentified man.

Marissa Gedney was arrested on August 14 by Ulster Town Police after they conducted a traffic stop of an e-bike being driven on Ulster Avenue.

The e-bike was being operated by a man with Gedney as a passenger. The man had the order of protection against Gedney, who was issued out of the Town of Esopus Court.

She was taken into custody for criminal contempt and transported to Ulster Police Headquarters for processing. Gedney was then arraigned in the City of Kingston Court and released on her own recognizance.

Gedney is due back in Town of Ulster Court at a later day.
