Street Cat Angels has saved the lives of hundreds of cats in our region, and Kathy, a velvety black cat with golden eyes was rescued earlier in June.

She arrived at Pat Brody Shelter for Cats in Lunenburg with her kittens, who have been adopted.

The theory is that she was abandoned after former “owners” moved. The people hadn’t bothered to spay her so when she was pregnant life got really tough and two of her kittens didn’t survive. Yes, that happens on the streets.

Fortunately, Kathy is a resilient young cat who needs a second chance. Volunteers have been working to socialize this gorgeous kitty, and she is in fine health. Visit catsontheweb.org to learn more and if you can’t adopt share this story, and encourage friends with pets to spay/neuter and vaccinate.
