Lucy Davis from the British version of “The Office” says she’s battling an “incurable” cancer, but still looking for laughs.

The 53-year-old actor spoke about her illness in an Instagram post that starts with her reading a poem, then ringing a bell to signify the end of her treatment program. That optimistic clip is accompanied by a long caption detailing her grim diagnoses.

“Hi friends,” she writes. “I wanted to share something with you all that I’ve kept to myself for a while but for various reasons would like to share now.”

Davis said that she was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer about 18 months ago. The disease has spread to her spine, right hip and ribs.

“The cancer is incurable, and too late for chemo,” she confesses.

The English performer played receptionist Dawn Tinsley on the popular Ricky Gervais’ vehicle “The Office” from 2001 to 2003. Her credits also include the TV show “Ugly Betty” and the 2017 film “Wonder Woman.”

She said that her cancer detection began with a tiny hard spot on her body she “almost” didn’t bother having checked out.

“As of now, I’m trying to live out whatever might be left of my life in as fun a way as I possibly can. I always like to find the teachable moments in anything negative that happens. And cancer has not disappointed in that regard; there’s a lot I have learned from it, and I’m grateful for that,” Davis shared.

She’s in pain — particularly when she stands or walks for too long.

Davis said that she sometimes needs a wheelchair and jokingly encouraged friends not to be shy about giving her a push.

“The thing that has been most vital to me is humor,” she says.

Davis encourages her friends and family members to make fun of her. They happily oblige, she adds.

“I’m not scared of whatever comes next. I’m at peace with it,” according to Davis.

She believed her illness is harder on her loved ones than it is on her personally because she’s going to a better place. Davis plans to continue working for animal rights and acting.
