The Upper Common was packed on Wednesday night for A Night of Zeppelin. “So many people downtown … enjoying live music, food and a summer evening,” said Mayor Sam Squailia. “Fitchburg is climbing the ‘stairway’ to a full house tonight.” Fitchburg’s free summer entertainment continues with more Concerts on the Common on Wednesdays from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., including on Aug. 12: The Final Mile, featuring rock, jazz, country and folk, and on Aug. 19 with A Phine Connection, featuring music inspired by Jerry Garcia, the Grateful Dead and Phish. Also, there’s Movies in the Park on Thursdays at 7:45 p.m. or dusk on the lawn behind the City Hall Legislative Building, 718 Main St. Coming up on Aug.13 is “How to Train Your Dragon.” All events are free. “Bring a blanket or lawn chair, pack some snacks, and come enjoy more summer evenings in downtown Fitchburg!” Squailia said.
