Carol’s Dairy Bar in Fitchburg demolished

The former Carol’s Dairy Bar at the corner of John Fitch Highway and Summer Street in Fitchburg has been demolished and construction vehicles are hard at work prepping the site for what is reported to be a new gas station. The former Carol’s Dairy Bar was a favorite summertime spot for a cool ice cream, soft-serve or “hard,” with a long list of flavors, plus people could grab the usual lunch fare of a hot dog or burger with fries and sit outside at the shaded picnic tables and watch the traffic at the busy Fitchburg intersection.
