PAWLING – CVS has opened a temporary mobile pharmacy in the Village of Pawling to serve its customers following the July 4th fire that destroyed its 26 East Main Street store.
The site of the fire has been leveled, and company officials are working with local leaders to establish a permanent location for a new store.
The mobile facility is located in the parking lot of the former store.
“Out local VCS was an important hub in this community that allowed our residents the ability to walk to the facility,” said Pawling Mayor Lauri Taylor.
“This temporary mobile pharmacy will ensure residents continue to have access to the medications, vaccinations, and care they rely on while a permanent location is established,” said Dutchess County Executive Sue Serino.”
The mobile pharmacy will remain in operation and home delivery fees have been waived for eligible prescriptions.
All employees from the Pawling store are either working at the mobile pharmacy of other nearby CVS locations.
