The Cincinnati Bengals are looking to emerge into a playoff team this season. One of the biggest questions will be about the defense as the 2026 NFL season approaches. Cincinnati’s defense has been horrid the last two seasons. The Bengals made adjustments to the defense this offseason. For now, Zac Taylor is still the head coach of this football team. Cincinnati has missed the playoffs for the last three seasons.

After having a 6-11 record a season ago, the Bengals need to have a great start. If not, Taylor could find himself out of a job and an interim coach could come into play here. Not only is the defense a question, but what is the question with the Bengals offense as well?
Cincinnati Bengals Rookie WR Colbie Young Looking To Emerge Into First Team Offense

Ben Baby of espn.com covers the Bengals and he talked about which position is worth watching during NFL training camp. He thinks that the third wide receiver spot is worth a look in camp. Outside of Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, Joe Burrow is going to need a third wide receiver option. Well, Baby said,
“Specifically, the spot not occupied by Ja’Marr Chase or Tee Higgins. Andrei Iosivas is the projected No. 3 and had a strong start to training camp, but fourth-round pick Colbie Young is among the group trying to earn snaps with the first-team offense. Iosivas had a down 2025 season after a very productive flourish early in his career. Only two of his 12 total touchdowns came in 2025. But with quarterback Joe Burrow back to full strength, Iosivas should be able to settle into the role when the Bengals use a three-receiver formation.”
Colbie Young was a fourth-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft from the Georgia Bulldogs. He is 24 years old. Young could provide the Bengals as a better third-option than Andrei Iosivas could. Young is 6’3″ and weighs 218 lbs. If the former Bulldogs wide receiver can emerge as Cincinnati’s third receiving option, then it will benefit them in the long run here.
