TOWN OF DEERPARK – A 69-year-old Sparrowbush man died after his car crashed into an earth embankment in the Town of Deerpark Wednesday morning.
State Police said Robert Jahn was driving a 2007 Ford east on Peenpack Trail at 9:25 a.m. when it veered off the road to the right, sideswiped several trees, and entered a driveway on Peenpack Trail. His car then sidswipted an unoccupied Chevrolet and trailer before coming to rest at an earth embankment.
Jahn was extricated from his vehicle and transported to Garnet Health Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill where he later died, police said.
The investigation is continuing and anyone who may have witnessed the collision is asked to call the State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation at 845-344-5300.
