The TV personality played several cards to no avail, so far.
Bodycam footage of the police interaction with The View co-host Sunny Hostin and her son has now entered the public domain.
On June 16, police officers cited Gabriel Hostin, 24, for trespassing after they spotted him allegedly jogging alongside Metro-North railroad tracks in Westchester County, N.Y.
“My mom’s a lawyer, by the way,” Gabriel to told cops when he was initially detained.
Already on the phone with her son at the time, Sunny Hostin spoke with police before heading to the scene.
Although the audio gets choppy at that particular point, it seems that Sunny Hostin informed an officer that she was a co-host on The View at about 3:20 in the footage embedded below, and also according to the New York Post
She also mentioned that she was a former federal prosecutor. The cop responded “I know who you are…”
Upon arrival, Hostin again informed the officers that she was a former prosecutor, adding that her son is a Harvard graduate.
Earlier this month, journalist Maureen Callahan rhetorically asked, “why is his mommy running interference for him?”
Imagine being so entitled, if not delusional, to think that some combination of the celebrity card, ex-prosecutor privilege, and an Ivy League credential would carry any weight with cops — or anyone else for that matter.
The Ivy League is no longer what it once was, but that’s a completely different topic.

On X (formerly Twitter), podcaster Link Lauren wondered satirically, “What kind of Harvard graduate can’t read No Trespassing signs?”
Officers explained that law enforcement takes trespassing at the location seriously because people have been hit by trains there.
They also pointed that it was potentially an arrestable misdemeanor rather that what in this instance apparently amounts to a ticket requiring a court appearance.
Both sides were polite and low key, but in video from another bodycam, Sunny Hostin seemed disappointed when she asked “can you give him a warning?” and the officer responded “I cannot at this point.”
According to Matt Margolis of PJ Media, “Sunny Hostin has built a nice little side career out of diagnosing other people’s privilege…bodycam footage shows her doing exactly the thing she’s spent years telling America is a problem when other people do it.”
Although a vocal critic of the current commander in chief, Sunny Hostin has not — yet — blamed President Donald Trump for the trespassing ticket, although there is still time.
Identifying herself as the lawyer for the defendant, Sunny Hostin recently contacted the local prosecutor by letter in an attempt to get the case dismissed.
Gabriel Hostin is due in court on July 31.
