Pet of the Week: Gilbert has got it!

Okay, the ears, the big smile, can we agree that Gilbert has got it!

Who’s got game? Gilbert’s got game! Have you seen a grin this winning on someone not playing in the FIFA championship? I think not!

This 12-pound café-au-lait Chihuahua-mix is currently with Broken Tail rescue and seeks a home where he’ll get love and company. This little guy prefers not to be alone, and is at his best when he can snuggle with his people on a couch. Volunteers report “he loves being close and is happiest curled up beside you for a cozy nap or evening on the couch.”

At age 10, he’s in good health, but does require daily thyroid medication “which he takes like a champ.” He is also very food-motivated, and his next family will find him very eager to learn the ropes and work on his training as long as there are nibbles and bits to come later.
