SOUTHEAST- During traffic stops, officers never know what they may encounter.
Putnam Sheriff’s Deputies Joseph Coletti and Daniel Cetra were patrolling along I-84 in Southeast early Friday when according to Sheriff Brian Hess they observed a vehicle commit multiple vehicle and traffic law violations.
Deputies checked Wolfolk’s license through the New York State DMV database after the stop and found it was suspended. Frederick Wolfolk, 33, of Danbury, was issued a summons.
The sheriff added that deputies checked the vehicle containing two other passengers and reportedly found 7.5 grams of cocaine, a quantity of oxycodone and marijuana, a digital scale, packaging materials, a vacuum-sealing device, and other items commonly used in the packaging and distribution of illegal narcotics.
Wolfolk was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Putnam County Correctional Facility for processing on charges of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Sell; Criminal Possession of a Narcotic Drug; Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia, the top charge containing a 15-year state prison term if convicted.
