Tucker Carlson used a Wednesday episode to argue against euthanasia and assisted suicide policies, citing New York’s recent approval of euthanasia, Canada’s MAiD program and data he said show white citizens make up most assisted-death cases in Canada and the United States.

Tucker Carlson criticized euthanasia and assisted suicide policies during a Wednesday evening episode, arguing that the practice is being advanced in Western nations under the framework of health care.
“The Canadian government has killed more than 100,000 of its own white citizens. American politicians are eager to do the same thing,” the video caption read.
Carlson began the episode by discussing New York’s recent approval of euthanasia. He focused in part on Gov. Kathy Hochul’s comments about how she came to support the policy, saying Hochul described arriving at an “elegant solution” while attending a Catholic funeral.
Carlson argued that the policy should be viewed alongside New York’s high health care costs, saying euthanasia presents a way for government officials to reduce spending by approving death rather than treatment.
“So if you can convince people that submitting to a shot from a doctor that kills them is a good thing, it’s some kind of liberation, ‘hey I’ve got an idea, we can kill you, this idea came to me in church, in a Catholic Church during a funeral, I was meditating on the life of the deceased and I thought wouldn’t it be great to make it easier for people to die, such a great time here, how could more people experience this,’ that’s what Kathy Hochul said led her to this conclusion,” Carlson said. “But of course that’s not true. The Catholic Church by the way is opposed to euthanasia. As is every Christian denomination. As is every Abrahamic religion. As is pretty much everyone in the world who doesn’t live in a white country.”
Carlson then shifted from New York to broader assisted-death policies in Western countries. He said euthanasia has been adopted primarily in white Western nations and argued that the same practice is not being pursued in the same way among black, brown or yellow-skinned peoples or nations.
The episode also addressed Nazi Germany’s euthanasia program, which targeted people the Third Reich considered undesirable. Carlson said the comparison was relevant because governments should not be given the power to decide which lives are worth ending.
“We wouldn’t do that [the Holocaust] here! Well actually, as it happens, more, just in Europe alone, quite apart from New Zealand, Australia, Canada, the United States, just in Europe, the site of the Nazi regime, more Europeans have been killed by the state with euthanasia since the end of the Nazi regime than during it,” Carlson said. “It’s not a good idea to give your government the power to kill people it considers useless.”
Carlson also referenced a 2010 clip of Bill Gates discussing death panels. He said Gates made an argument based on the allocation of public resources, including whether money should be spent on teachers rather than patients.
Carlson said euthanasia has been justified in different political systems as a way to redirect resources, including in Nazi Germany and in the modern West. He also tied the issue to U.S. military aid for Ukraine, arguing that political leaders who support weapons funding for foreign wars are often the same people who support abortion-on-demand and euthanasia.
Carlson said those issues share a common connection because each involves the taking of human life. He specifically argued that the policies have resulted in the deaths of white people.
Carlson then discussed racial statistics he said apply to assisted-death programs in Canada and the United States.
“…who’s getting killed by the government.
So in Canada, the overwhelming majority of the people killed, over 95% of the Canadians killed by the Canadian government have been white legacy Canadians. And that’s interesting because Canada is just over a little half white at this point.
Demographic replacement in Canada has been so brisk, so overwhelming over the past 20 years that a country that was 98% white in 1981 is just a little over half white now. Whatever you think of that, that happened in 40 years. Really unprecedented in human history.
But you would think that government statistics on death would pretty much match government population stats. In other words, if let’s say Canada is 59% white, that the number of people killed by the government in the state sponsored suicide program would be about 59% white. But that’s not what you find at all.
You find that they’re all white. Almost all the people who got killed by the government are white. And by the way, you also find that in the United States. The United States is what, 60% white, something like that. 95% of the Americans killed by physician assisted suicide are white.”
