More countries are tightening their borders and ramping up deportations as America cracks down on illegal immigration.
Good.
For years, global elites told citizens they had no right to complain. They said open borders were compassion. They said mass migration was inevitable. They said anyone who wanted law, order and national sovereignty was hateful.
Now those same leaders are being forced to face reality.
The European Union is moving forward with tougher migration rules, including faster deportations and new penalties targeting migrant smugglers. European leaders have admitted the system is not working and that they need to “get control back.”
That sounds familiar, doesn’t it?
President Trump made border security one of the central promises of his administration. His team has expanded immigration enforcement, increased deportation efforts and pushed for stricter rules on who enters and stays in the United States. ICE arrests surged in late June, with about 10,000 arrests reported in five days.
The left can scream all it wants, but the truth is simple.
A country without borders is not a country.
Europe is learning that lesson. America is remembering it. And citizens across the West are tired of being told they must accept chaos while politicians live behind gates, guards and taxpayer-funded protection.
This is not about being anti-immigrant. Legal immigration built strong nations when it was orderly, lawful and tied to assimilation. But illegal immigration is different. Human trafficking is different. Criminal cartels are different. Smuggling networks are different.
Compassion without law becomes chaos.
The same people who ignored the strain on schools, hospitals, housing, police departments and working families are now watching their own countries buckle under the pressure. Suddenly, deportations are not so extreme. Suddenly, border enforcement is not so radical. Suddenly, national sovereignty matters again.
The American people were not wrong for demanding secure borders.
They were early.
Now the rest of the world is catching up.
Real leadership means protecting citizens first. It means defending the rule of law. It means saying that borders matter, citizenship matters and national security matters.
The global open-border experiment is failing.
And the world is finally being forced to admit it.
