LEOMINSTER — Bohemian Night returns to the city this month, the revival of a tradition that blends aesthetics, culture and creative expression with the vibrant rhythms and flavors of Latin and Haitian culture.

The event called Noche Bohemia in Spanish is being held at Carter Park, 107 Main St., on Saturday, July 18, from 6 to 9 p.m. and is free and open to the public.

It was first presented in the early 2000s by the Spanish American Center, which will have its food truck there along with a photo booth and a performance by city-based StyleFX Studios, which blends fitness, health and artistry and is known for its breaking and hip-hop studio and inclusive community classes.

In addition, live music will be provided by Peru native Carlos Odria and his trio. Their sound fuses elements of Latin American folk, Spanish flamenco, jazz and Afro-Peruvian rhythms into a fascinating mélange and an eclectic and engaging way that will turn spectators into dancers.

The cultural affair was originally a collaboration between the Spanish American Center and Georgie Rodríguez Locutor of WPKZ radio and the return of it will once again transform Carter Park into a vibrant and interactive space.

“Bohemian Night celebrates pride in our multicultural community while supporting performers from our region,” event information shares. “Events such as Fitchburg’s Urufest 2025 at Saima Park, organized by Centro Celeste, demonstrate how cultural programming can successfully bring community residents together.

“It’s free to attend, so it won’t break the bank — just bring a little cash if you’d like empanadas or other yummy food from the Spanish American Center’s food truck to fuel your dance moves.
