WEST TOWNSEND — The Townsend VFW Post No. 6538 and its Auxiliary will once again serve up a summertime favorite with their annual clambake and chicken barbecue on Sunday, June 21, at noon at 491 Main St.

Diners can choose from barbecued chicken dinners with potato salad, corn on the cob, cranberry sauce and a roll with butter, or seafood options including steamed lobster with drawn butter, steamed clams with broth and butter, and clam chowder — all available at market prices.

The event is open to the public, but organizers recommend arriving close to noon, as food is served on a first-come, first-served basis and is available until sold out.
