ASHBY — Seniors in town had their own NASCAR-style race with cars they made with strings attached to pull across the finish line.

“We had a great time laughing and cheering each other on,” Ashby Council on Aging (COA) volunteer Susan Clement said of the June 15 affair.

A dozen people gathered at the senior center for what she said was “a fun event to celebrate NASCAR” and winners received Market Basket gift cards.
