DEAR CHARLENE: One of the most frequent and comforting questions I receive from people navigating the tender path of life is: “Do my loved ones in Heaven know what is going to happen to me?” When we lose someone we love, our physical connection is altered, but our spiritual bond remains entirely unbroken. They do not truly leave us; they merely change form, moving into a vibrant realm of pure love and heightened awareness. From this beautiful vantage point, their relationship with our future becomes something incredibly sacred.
To understand how those in Heaven perceive our future, we must first understand that time operates differently in the spirit world. Here on Earth, we live linearly trapped in the constraints of yesterday, today, and tomorrow. In Heaven, however, time is not a rigid highway; it is an open ocean. Your loved ones exist in a space of timelessness, where the past, present, and future blend into a singular, eternal now.
Because they are no longer weighed down by human anxiety, fear, or the dense limitations of the physical world, their perspective is vastly expanded. They see the grand tapestry of your life, whereas we can only see the single thread we are holding today. They recognize the divine blueprint of your soul. They know the milestones you are meant to reach, the deep healings you are destined to experience, and the joy that still awaits you on the horizon.
However, knowing your potential path does not mean they interfere with your free will. Your loved ones in Spirit respect your earthly journey completely. They know that your challenges are often the very catalyst for your soul’s growth. When they glimpse a difficult moment in your future, they do not step in to alter your course; instead, they draw closer. They surround you with an influx of divine grace, strength, and comfort, whispering encouragement into your heart so you can find your way through the storm.
They also joyfully anticipate your moments of triumph. Long before a new love arrives, a dream job manifests, or a heavy burden is finally lifted, your family in Heaven is already celebrating. They see the seeds of your happiness taking root.
So, when you worry about what tomorrow may bring, take a deep, centering breath and remember that you are never walking blindly into the dark. Your loved ones in Heaven are already standing in the light of your future, holding space for your highest good. They know where your path is leading, they see the beautiful resilience within you, and they are constantly guiding you toward your ultimate peace. You are watched over, you are known, and you are endlessly loved. So, know deep within your heart that your journey is being watched over from a place of complete unconditional love.
