Popular conservative podcaster Wayne Allyn Root has a pipeline to his friend, President Donald J. Trump, who is known to sometimes listen to the show. With about six months to go to the November elections, Root’s been using that connection to communicate with the President about the importance of declaring a National Security Emergency to put the 2026 Congressional elections under federal control. That emergency power is necessary, he insists, because of documented foreign interference and Democratic corruption of our elections.
Several video links document the progression of the communication. The first video link shows Root speaking directly to President Trump on his April 28 podcast. The Las Vegas podcaster spoke after Steve Stern, the Vice Chairman of the Broward Republican Executive Committee, introduced Root to John N. Goodman, who serves on the Florida Election Integrity Committee. Stern also hosts an election integrity podcast on rumble called Stern American.
Going this route results in “checkmate”, according to Root, because the Supreme Court has ruled that a National Security Emergency can only be stopped by a 2/3 vote of both houses of Congress within months of the declaration. But Democrats are in the minority in both chambers, meaning they don’t have the power to stop President Trump.
For context, the groundwork to unfurl the declaration is happening as the Save America Act flounders in the Republican-controlled Senate. Root continues to take aim at GOP Congressional leaders who he calls RINOS — Republicans In Name Only — for not passing the Act, which he supports.
What’s more, on Root’s May 21 podcast, Dr. Jerome Corsi offered background about what he believes is happening. Dr. Corsi is working with grassroots Trump supporters and the President to cement plans for the November elections. According to Dr. Corsi, the declaration is “on track” to be announced “closer to the election.” He added, President Trump is rolling out the case for the declaration with an education campaign. That campaign involves letting people know about Democratic corruption and foreign interference in our elections, even noting, “We have Maduro.” That’s a reference to the former leader of Venezuela, who some have speculated may admit to U.S. election rigging when he ran Venezuela as part of a federal plea deal. Dr. Corsi also warned that election-related federal indictments are coming soon for election corruption in some states.
Summing up, Dr. Corsi said, “President Trump is in charge of the dialogue.”
About a week later, during the May 30 podcast, Root put a fine point on the need for a declaration of a National Security Emergency. He called the declaration “The Save Act On Steroids, Trump Style.”
