Our final day took us from Buffalo to the Corning Museum of Glass. The gift shop was filled with colorful, artistic glass pieces.
Afterward, we headed to Binghamton to visit Recreation Park. I rode one of the city’s six refurbished carousels, a 114-year-old machine that spun me around with a gentle breeze on my face. This park is where Twilight Zone’s Rod Serling played as a child, and a statue commemorating his 100th birthday stands there. As the vintage Wurlitzer organ played in the center of the carousel, the music and motion made me feel like a kid again at Coney Island.
It was a magical experience, similar to our trip on the Disney Magic to Alaska, and a perfect way to end this three-week journey. I am heading home tomorrow grateful for these experiences.
