PUTNAM COUNTY- Field Hall Foundation is now accepting letters of inquiry for its fall 2026 grant cycle.

Patti Lavan Horvath, Program Officer for the non-for-profit, explained her organization will be awarding grants in late September to support “new, expanding or continuing programs and projects that directly impact the lives of older adults and their caregivers in Putnam, Dutchess, and Westchester.”

Priority will be given to proposals that focus on individuals’ basic needs including home-based care services, respite services, safety and security, transportation and food insecurity.

Horvath has asked those interested to contact her by the end of the month at 914-813-9103 or by email at

The non-for-profit foundation was formed following the sale of the Field Home Nursing Home and Assisted Living Program in 2018.

“Monies generated from the sale of the business were added to its foundation. Grants ranging from $5,000 to $50,000 are presented to non-profits in the tri-county area that improve the lives of older adults,” said Horvath.

Horvath said her foundation was “especially interested in collaborative projects and programs that address seniors’ ‘basic needs’ in the following areas: Home-based care services; social work, food insecurity of older adults, transportation options for older adults, caregivers and home health aides, elder abuse intervention, Alzheimer’s and dementia and alcohol and substance abuse prevention and intervention.”
