LEOMINSTER — The Leominster Police Detective Bureau’s Drug Enforcement Unit had a busy start to the month of May with the execution of two search warrants leading to two arrests and the seizure of varied amounts of illegal narcotics and cash, according to a release posted on the Westminster Police Department’s Facebook page.
During the first week in May, a search warrant was executed at 91 Mechanic St, which resulted in the arrest of Juan Leger. At the Mechanic Street address detectives seized 25 Class C pills, 148 Class E pills, over $6,000 as proceeds of the drug trade, and a vehicle. Another search warrant was executed at 56 Laurel St., which resulted in the arrest of Andrea Miller. At Laurel Street, detectives seized 12.8 grams of Class A drugs, 127.8 grams of Class B drugs, 30 Class E pills and over $1,600 as proceeds of the drug trade.
“Drug cases like these are complex investigations, and often take weeks or months of work to complete,” the release stated. “We want to highlight the excellent work done by these Detectives. We also want to thank all the agencies represented in these photos, as without their participation in regional and federal taskforces, investigations like these would be impossible.”
Investigators from the Clinton, Sterling, Lunenburg, Winchendon, Ashburnham, Gardner, Fitchburg and Westminster Police departments all contributed to the operation, in addition to those from the Massachusetts State Police, Worcester County Sheriff’s Department and federal Drug Enforcement Agency assigned to Worcester County.
All individuals arrested are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law.
