Panda Express says it is reviewing an incident involving two conservative content creators who allege employees at one of the chain’s restaurants called police on them because one of the men was wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat.

A spokesperson for Panda Restaurant Group said the company is examining what occurred and that the matter is being addressed internally at the restaurant level.

“We want everyone who walks into Panda Express to feel welcome and treated with respect,” the company said in a statement provided to Fox News.

The dispute gained attention after conservative vlogger Chris Sims, who describes himself on X as a “disaffected liberal turned conservative,” posted video footage and commentary online claiming he and fellow content creator Daniel Rebel 33 were removed from the restaurant because of the pro-Trump hat.

In an X post, Sims alleged the confrontation began after the pair gave a cook a thumbs up. According to Sims, he later asked the employee whether there was an issue and was told the MAGA hat was the problem.

Video shared by Sims appears to show two Panda Express employees standing outside the restaurant while asking the pair to leave the premises. Police officers later arrived and spoke with both employees and the vloggers.

Restaurant staff told responding officers the two men had refused repeated requests to leave.

Sims and Daniel Rebel 33 disputed that claim, maintaining they complied and exited the restaurant. Footage from the encounter also showed officers informing the vloggers that the sidewalk outside the business constituted public property and that recording video there was permitted.

The incident has drawn significant attention online amid continuing national disputes over political expression in public and commercial settings.
