Say “Hello” to Louie — a pint-sized doggie dynamo currently at Broken Tail Rescue.

According to volunteers, he’s part Yorkie, part Pomeranian, and part “fluffy, fox-faced shadow who requires attention and is not shy.”

Louie weighs 16 pounds and is just 3 years old. He’s been in foster care for a while and has made his personality very clear: He’s both a “love bug” and an outdoorsman. And, “he has opinions. Many of them. Loudly expressed.”

Louie would thrive in a home with older youths, adults or seniors. He’s not a fan of car rides, and he’s leash- and crate-trained. He’s won a lot of hearts in his foster care environment, but “he’s not a beginner dog. He’s a personality — the kind that fills a room, keeps you on your toes, and makes you laugh every single day. He needs someone who loves the outdoors as much as he does, appreciates a dog with opinions, and understands that the belly rubs are not optional!”
