MAHOPAC- At the Villa Barone in Mahopac, members of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department were honored for their work keeping residents and visitors safe over the past year.

Sheriff Brian Hess and Undersheriff James Menton recognized the dedication, professionalism, and service of the county’s law enforcement family, including deputies, correction officers, civilian staff, and local law enforcement partners whose “dedication, sacrifice, and commitment to serving others continue to go above and beyond each day,” said the sheriff.

The department also recognized the families, friends, and loved ones of department members who, according to Hess, “support, sacrifice, and constantly encourage making our work possible because strength behind the scenes never goes unnoticed.”

The sheriff gave special praise to the department’s law enforcement partners from the Carmel Police Department, Kent Police Department, and Yorktown Police Department for joining in the celebration.
