Nearly a year after celebrating her eldest daughter’s wedding at a Sonoma Valley winery, Melissa Etheridge has released a video of the song she performed that day, a ballad written for the occasion.

On Sunday, May 10, in honor of Mother’s Day, the Grammy-winning singer shared a video on social media for “More Love,” a track from her latest studio album, “Rise,” released in March. The video featured footage from the September wedding of her daughter, Bailey Cypheridge, to Jocelyn Simone Rhude at B.R. Cohn Winery in Glen Ellen.

The ceremony, attended by 160 guests, included a concert on the winery’s outdoor stage, where Etheridge performed the song for the newlyweds. The moment brought tears to each guest’s eye, Cypheridge said in an interview with The Press Democrat last year.

“It was the sweetest present and very classic her,” she said at the time, adding that Etheridge “would’ve sang the whole time if we let her.”

In the post accompanying the video, Etheridge described “More Love” as a reflection on “watching a child grow into themselves and eventually spread their wings.”

“‘More Love’ reflects on what matters most: learning who you are and continuing to search for more love,” she wrote, encouraging followers to share the video with loved ones.

The video opens with Etheridge offering an emotional dedication to the couple before beginning the performance. “It was very easy,” she tells them, explaining how naturally the song came from her experience as Bailey’s mother and her hopes for the pair’s future together. Scenes from the ceremony are woven throughout the performance, offering a glimpse of the celebration.

Etheridge is scheduled to return to Sonoma County this summer as part of her “Raised on Radio Tour” with Wynonna Judd. The pair will perform July 18 at the Green Music Center in Rohnert Park.
