The fun family friendly event is geared towards all ages, with all skill levels welcome, and proceeds will be donated to a meaningful cause, the transportation program at the hospital that falls under the UMass Memorial Health umbrella. The program helps patients — seniors, disabled, children, etc. — get to and from their appointments, such as those to see doctors at the cancer center at HealthAlliance-Clinton Hospital’s Fitchburg campus. HealthAlliance-Clinton Hospital comprises three main campuses in Clinton, Leominster and Fitchburg.

“Bring the family and friends and join us to help the community program,” said HealthAlliance Guild President Vicki Manchester of the weekend affair.

HealthAlliance Guild is a Leominster-based nonprofit organization founded in 1994 that is dedicated to supporting the highest quality health care close to home for area residents.

“Led by a group of passionate and highly motivated volunteers serving on the board of directors, the Guild is deeply committed to enhancing patient care at UMass Memorial HealthAlliance–Clinton Hospital,” organization information states. “The Guild is important to the community because we advocate for better patient care through programs run at the hospitals.”

Their efforts include managing the hospital gift shop, organizing events both large and small, hosting socials and seminars, coordinating vendor sales and raffles, creating crafts, writing articles, and much more.

People are welcome to join the HealthAlliance Guild and play an active role in fostering better health for the community. Membership is open to individuals for $25 per year, corporate memberships are available for businesses, and to learn more or become a member visit healthallianceguild.org.
