ASHBURNHAM — The Kiran Trio will perform a Historical Piano Concert with works by Lili Boulanger, Maurice Ravel and Ernest Chausson on the 1877 Erard “Extra-Grand” piano from The Frederick Collection at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 10.

The concert, with Dorothy Braker on cello; Amira Acre on piano; and Zoia Bologovsky on the violin, will be held at the New Dawn Arts Center/Ashburnham Community Church, 84 Main St.

The Historical Piano Concerts make use of select grand pianos from the Frederick Piano Collection, made by important makers whose instruments were highly regarded in their day, acquired in basically good condition, with most of their original materials intact (especially soundboards). It aims to match each instrument to a specific composer or generation of composers known to have used or preferred that make and vintage of piano. The period of pianos in the Collection extends from about 1790 to 1928.

Admission is $20; free for children/students.

The next Historical Piano Concert will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 24.
