LOWELL — The Greater Lowell Community Foundation opened its 2026 Nashoba Valley Healthcare Fund Cycle on April 16. The foundation seeks requests for proposals from nonprofit organizations supporting the advancement of community health of residents in the following GLCF communities: Ashby, Ayer, Dunstable, Groton, Littleton, Pepperell, Shirley, Townsend and Westford.

Grant awards will be multiple grants of up to $20,000/year (disbursement years: 2026, 2027 and 2028) to address systemic health issues in Nashoba Valley.

“This year, we’ve refined our funding priorities to address the most pressing health challenges facing Nashoba Valley — from barriers to equitable healthcare and mental health to addiction recovery, food insecurity, and crisis prevention,” said GLCF President and CEO Jay Linnehan. “Multi-year grants of up to $20,000 per year give organizations the reliable funding they need to deliver transformational results — making our communities stronger, healthier, and more vibrant.”

Submitted applications will be reviewed and scored by a volunteer committee. GLCF will notify the top-scoring applications during the first week in June and invite the nonprofit to present its proposal to the selection committee.

Grant applications must be submitted by noon on May 14. GLCF will announce grant recipients in July. Application information is available on the GLCF website at glcfoundation.org.

Priority will be given to, but not limited to, proposals pertaining to:

• barriers to equitable health care

• addiction and recovery support

• domestic and intimate partner violence

• food insecurity

• mental health

• behavioral health and crisis prevention

• chronic disease prevention and healthy living.

Collaboration with other organizations is strongly encouraged.
