It won’t be long before the daisies pop up in the fields, but Daisy the dog popped up as a stray in Ashby where Animal Control determined she was a fox hound, and about 5 years old.
She’s very friendly and sweet, and was happy to be rescued.
Currently at Sterling Animal Clinic, Daisy is a charmer, and her rescuer is confident she’ll be the belle at the ball. Fox hounds were bred for hunting, so Daisy will need ample exercise plus mental stimulation. They’re independent, and very loyal. Daisy has a cream coat, with a sprinkling of brown. Visit sterlingshelter.org to apply for Daisy or another pet.
Visit Animal Shelter Inc., 17 Laurelwood Road, Sterling during their hours: Tuesday to Friday, from 11 a.m. to 5 pm; and Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. They are closed Sunday and Monday.
