WESTFORD — Nashoba Valley Technical High School has announced its students and athletes of the month for February.
Students of the Month
Students of the Month are selected based on the school’s “Portrait of a Graduate” attributes: resourceful, responsible, resilient, respectful and ready.
Jillian Cambridge, of Ayer, whose parents are Josh and Alison Cambridge, is a junior in the Culinary Arts Program. She was part of the team that won first place at the 2025 ProStart Invitational then placed 14th at the national competition, then repeated as champs at the 2026 ProStart event, where Jillian won the Best Leadership Award. She and the rest of the team went to Maryland for the national competition April 24-26.
An Early College student at Middlesex Community College, she was inducted into MCC’s chapter of the National Honor Society. She is also a freshman mentor. She plans to attend Johnson & Wales University to major in Cooking and minor in Nutrition, then become a private chef.
Jillian was nominated by Social Studies teacher Phil Massa, who wrote: “Jill is a physical example of Student of the Month for her exceptional maturity, responsibility and positive contributions to our school community. She consistently follows through on commitments, participates confidently in class, and maintains a respectful and courteous attitude toward everyone. Her outgoing personality, genuine interest in connecting with others, and pleasant demeanor make her a role model and a joy to work with.”
Evan Crampton, of Chelmsford, whose parents are Robert and Diane Crampton, is a junior in the Early Childhood Care program. She was inducted into the National Honor Society as a sophomore and this spring into the National Technical Honor Society as well.
She works at Next Generation Children’s Center in Westford through Nashoba Tech’s Cooperative Education program. She plans to attend college after graduation,
Evan was nominated by Early Childhood Care instructor Christine Patenaude, who wrote: “Evan has grown so much over the last two-and-a-half years, from a quiet shy student to a student that could and has taken over a classroom of little children and a classroom of her peers. As she has grown into the amazing student she is, she has demonstrated the 5 R’s, not only within her technical area but also with her academics and extracurricular activities.”
Athletes of the Month
Braeden Beauregard of Chelmsford and Christian Montalvo of Ayer, both senior wrestlers, have been selected as February’s Athletes of the Month.
Braeden Beauregard, son of Joe and Michelle Beauregard, was undefeated as a 6-foot, 7-inch heavyweight wrestler this winter. He is a student in the Plumbing & Heating technical program, and plans to work for the Chelmsford Water Department after graduation.
Braeden was nominated by Bob Musto, the school resource officer, who wrote: “Braeden’s hard work and preparation for this wrestling season epitomized the five R’s in Nashoba Tech’s Portrait of a Graduate – resourceful, responsible, resilient, respectful and ready. It paid off as he wrestled his way to an undefeated senior year in the heavyweight division.”
Christian Montalvo, son of Kevin and Jacqueline Kabiru, is captain of the wrestling team and had a stellar season in the 190-pound division, finishing fourth at All-States. He also plays football and lacrosse for the Vikings. A student in the Automotive Technology program, he has been inducted into the National Honor Society and National Technical Honor Society, is vice president of the Class of 2026, is a freshman mentor, and competes for SkillsUSA. He plans to attend Mass. Maritime to study Emergency Management and continue his football career.
Christian was nominated by wrestling coach William Corr, who wrote: “Chris made the transition from gridiron to wrestling mat without losing a stride. He has had an exceptional season. His leadership on and off the mat is why he is well-respected by the team, earning him the 2026 MVP award.”
