FITCHBURG — Last week, on Wednesday, April 8, detectives from a multi-agency task force executed a search warrant in Fitchburg and seized trafficking-weight heroin, cocaine, and crack cocaine, among other illegal drugs.

Detectives participating were from the Fitchburg, Leominster, and Lunenburg Police departments, Mass State Police, the North Worcester County Drug Task Force, Worcester County Sheriffs and DEA with the federal HIDTA (High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area) program.

Along with the drugs, detectives also located an illegally defaced firearm with ammunition.

“This is a result of dedication and professionalism from all investigators involved,” said a release provided by the Fitchburg Police Department on Facebook.
