ELLENVILLE – A Westbrookville man has been charged with the murder of an Ellenville woman in her apartment on March 30.
Michael David Carman, 28, was arrested in Florida where he fled following the death of 29-year-old Nicole Izabella Perez.
During the investigation, Carman was identified as a suspect and believed to have fled New York.
State Police, the Ulster County District Attorney’s Office and law enforcement in Clay County, Florida located Carman where he was taken into custody as a fugitive from justice.
He was returned to New York on April 13 and is being held in the Ulster County Jail.
New York State Police were assisted in the investigation by Ellenville Police, Clay County Sheriff’s Office, Jacksonville Beach Police, and the Ulster County DA’s Office.
