CARMEL- The cost of energy has skyrocketed in recent weeks and the non-profit Sustainable Putnam working in conjunction with the Mid-Hudson Energy Affordability campaign hopes to aid homeowners and renters to reduce their energy bills.

Putnam residents are encouraged to schedule a free home energy consultation with a home energy advisor who will provide what Joe Montouri, Executive Director of Sustainable Putnam noted: “Unbiased guidance that will help residents make informed decisions. Advice is tailored to each home by reviewing current energy usage, exploring practical upgrades and explaining available New York State incentives and rebates.”

Montouri added: “Home energy projects can be complex, and unbiased guidance is hard to find. Everyone’s home and financial situation are different. Our services simplify the process and empower residents to choose solutions that make sense for them.”

Sean Seary, Putnam County Community Energy Advisor with the Mid-Hudson Clean Energy Hub, stressed that all services provided are free: “Our initiative seeks to support homeowners and renters alike in reducing home energy costs while improving energy efficiency.”
