FITCHBURG — City officials are inviting residents to attend a meeting detailing upcoming spring and summer downtown construction projects on Wednesday, April 15, at 9 a.m. at the Legislative Building (City Hall annex), at 700 Main St.
Construction season is underway, and downtown Fitchburg and the surrounding area will have several active utility, bridge and roadway projects this spring and summer, officials said.
“Please join us to learn more about the upcoming work, expected timelines, and how these projects may affect businesses, property owners, traffic and access,” officials said in a press release.
Attendees will hear project details and timelines, learn about anticipated traffic and property impacts, understand how overlapping projects may affect paving schedules, and get contact information for follow-up questions during construction. In areas where project limits overlap, paving will be completed based on the later project completion date.
