VISTA — An autopsy performed Wednesday on a person found dead in a vacant lot in Vista identified a brain bleed that may have resulted from head trauma, prompting a homicide investigation.
Deputies assigned to the Vista Sheriff’s Station responded Monday to the 1200 block of Hacienda Drive, near state Route 78, where they discovered the victim with no obvious signs of trauma at the scene, according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office.

The autopsy revealed the victim sustained a brain bleed that could have resulted from trauma to the head.
