Where is Congress?
That’s the question every American should be asking right now.
While Washington continues its political games, while shutdown threats loom, and while leadership seems more focused on protecting power than protecting people, it took a private citizen — Elon Musk — to step up and do what our own government refuses to do.
Let that sink in.
At a time when Americans are already dealing with economic pressure, rising costs, and uncertainty, the very people elected to represent us are once again failing to do the most basic part of their job — keep the government functioning. Instead of solutions, we get finger-pointing. Instead of leadership, we get silence.
And where is Chuck Schumer? Where are the Democrats who claim to fight for the American people?
Because what Americans are seeing doesn’t match the talking points.
We’re watching a government that struggles to fund essential services like TSA — the very agency responsible for protecting our skies and keeping travelers safe — yet somehow always finds the time, energy, and resources to push policies that many Americans believe weaken election integrity and border security.
That contradiction is not lost on the people.
You cannot tell Americans there’s no money to keep critical systems running… while at the same time expanding programs and policies that raise serious concerns about accountability, enforcement, and trust in our institutions.
And this is where the frustration is boiling over.
Because this isn’t just about a shutdown.
It’s about priorities.
It’s about a government that seems disconnected from the people it serves. A government where leadership appears more reactive than responsible. And a government where, once again, someone outside of Washington is stepping in to fill a gap that should never have existed in the first place.
Elon Musk didn’t take an oath of office.
He wasn’t elected.
Yet here we are, watching him act while elected officials stall.
That should concern every American — regardless of political party.
Because at the end of the day, this isn’t about left vs. right.
It’s about whether the people in power are doing their jobs.
And right now, Americans are asking a very simple question:
If a private citizen can step up… why can’t Congress?
