LUNENBURG — The greater community continues to rally around the Boucher family amid young Haddie’s ongoing medical fight. Green, the seven-year-old’s favorite color, is showing up all over the place.

Cox Trucking headquartered in the family’s hometown of Lunenburg outfitted one of their giant rigs with bright green lights and Infinite Dezine and Computers in Leominster has their front window painted with cheerful flowers and a message — Hope for Haddie.

“Cox Trucking lighting the town green for Miss Haddie B!!!!” Charlene Cox wrote when sharing a photo of the truck in the Hope for Haddie Facebook page, the hub for all things Haddie, whose tightknit family includes her high school sweetheart parents Alyssa and Derek and her two older sisters, Olivia and Peyton.

Northwest Elementary School in Leominster, where Alyssa works as a speech therapist, is also showing their support for her family. They are selling Hope for Haddie lawn signs and Stephanie Kuokkanen’s second grade classroom window at Northwest is currently decorated with green hued hearts lovingly made by the students — all part of keeping the momentum going for the Boucher family.

“We can’t thank our communities enough for the incredible ways they’ve shown up for our family,” Alyssa recently said. “From close friends to complete strangers, we have felt so much love, support, and prayers for our sweet Haddie B.”

There have been several fundraisers held to benefit the Boucher family, who are beloved across the region and well beyond. A Hustle for Haddie 5K held at GazBar Sports Grill in Leominster last June – both Alyssa and Derek’s hometown – netted over $50K for them and three days after that event a Leominster High School (LHS) Goals for Good girls vs. boys lacrosse game held at Doyle Field raised $1,120.

The LHS Blue Devils baseball team dedicated one of its home games last May to Haddie, even painting her name on the grass behind home plate, with the $7,000 in proceeds going to her family. In addition, the GoFundMe set up for the Bouchers continues to go strong with over 1,900 generous donations totaling $254,594 as of press time.

Custom Hope for Haddie merch including t-shirts, sweatpants, hoodies, car magnets, and sticker decals is up for grabs as part of a spring fundraiser going on now and can be ordered by visiting haddiespring2026.itemorder.com.

“We’re selling custom apparel to raise funds for the Boucher Family; whose 7-year old daughter, Hadley, was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor,” the wording on the order form reads. “All proceeds will go directly to the family to help ease the financial burdens they face during this incredibly difficult journey. Your purchase is more than just clothing-it’s a gesture of love, hope, and support for Hadley and her family.”

A lot of people have posted photos of themselves or their kids wearing green clothing in support of Haddie. Kristy O’Connor, who knows the Bouchers through mutual friends, recently posted a photo of her three kiddos – Karlee, 11, Kaycee, eight, and Kelsee, six, wearing St. Patrick’s Day themed clothing, perfect timing for the holiday and for Haddie.

Boston Red Sox outfielder Jarren Duran and New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye have both been spotted wearing green Hope for Haddie bracelets and a man who works at Logan Airport in Boston posted in the Hope for Haddie page after meeting a family there whose three little boys were wearing black hoodies with the words Hope for Haddie on the front.

“I was touched by it and I asked the Mom who’s Haddie?,” wrote Danvers resident Ernest Dudley IV. “She told me that she was friends with her 3 little boys. 1 of the boys asked his Mom if he could give me a bracelet with hope for Haddie on it. I hope & pray that she is doing ok & that she is not alone in her battle. The Mom took a pick with me wearing the bracelet on her phone & I will never take it off!!!!!!!”

The green wave of love for Haddie and her family reaches all the way across the country to California, where one of Alyssa’s close friends Nicole French lives with her family in San Diego. The West Coast resident recently posted a photo in the Hope for Haddie Facebook page of her two oldest kids – her sons Syren, six, and Kannon, three – wearing green for Haddie.

French knows all too well what it feels like to be lifted up by others when your child is sick — Kannon completed treatment for stage IV Wilms Tumor and is newly in remission. The mom of three who also has a one-year-old daughter, Lyric, has a picture of Kannon wearing a Hope for Haddie hat with a big smile on his face that she took when he was in treatment.

French said Alyssa is her best friend from college. The two women went to the University of New Hampshire together and were in the same sorority.

“She is my ‘big,’ we pledged alpha phi at UNH,” French said of her dear friend. “Her and Derek are some of the most genuine people I know I love them beyond words. Their whole family is amazing.”

Seems to be the sentiment all around.
