PLEASANT VALLEY – The driver of a three-wheeled motorcycle was killed in a head-on crash with a Mercedes-Benz on Saturday afternoon in the Town of Pleasant Valley, State Police said.
Killed in the incident was the operator a 2025 Can-Am Spyder motorcycle, identified as William Coulston, 59, of Millbrook.
Troopers said the accident occurred in the area of Salt Point Turnpike and Van Wagner Road at around 2:45 p.m.
Preliminary investigation found that the cycle, operated by Coulston, was traveling westbound on Salt Point Turnpike when it crossed the double yellow center line and struck the Mercedes head-on.
Coulston was pronounced dead at MidHudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie. The driver of the car was not injured.
