As manufacturers continue to find new ways to please consumers both monetarily and aesthetically, Cadillac keeps their eyes on the prize. With a 460-mile range, the Cadillac Escalade goes all-electric with the Escalade IQ.

The newly designed Escalade IQ delivers a new body and platform granting great performance for the seven-passenger SUV, which boasts a $130,000 base price.

For consumers who have a passion for the Escalade and Escalade V, the IQ is just another alternative to the monstrosity SUV that serves every possible purpose in modern day vehicle usages.

Our weeklong tester, a 2026 Escalade IQL Sport wrapped in Black Cherry Tint coat had a slew of standard features such as 22-inch wheels, Super Cruise autonomous driving, 55-inch curved display screen, heads up display, panoramic sunroof and illuminated grille to name a few. Additionally included on our tester was a rear seat entertainment system and upgraded paint which totaled for just over $3K.

Weighing in at just over 9,000 pounds, the Escalade IQL is a boat on wheels which display an extraordinary level of comfort that is beyond rare in today’s vehicle market. Although heavy, that only assists in the ride quality and interior low-noise level, which is an added perk for everyone.

For consumers who have electric vehicle charging stress, with a 460-mile driving range, that level of stress in almost non-existent as less than 1% of consumers drive that much in one day, allowing consumers to simply plug the IQL in every night after a long day, and have a full-charge upon waking up, or for the daily cruiser who drives around town, a weekly charge is more than enough.

With the 2026 Cadillac Escalade IQL in the fleet, the competition certainly has their hands full even attempting to keep up. Its simplistic display of excellence, confirms Cadillac is the Sports brand for General Motors. As their offerings of high-powered sedans and SUVs and now an even wider array of EV SUVs in the fleet, confirms Cadillac means business, staking its claim at the top as Oldsmobile, Pontiac and Saturn are now distant history.
