PEPPERELL — The Art Gallery at Lawrence Library will be filled with color, craftsmanship and community spirit when the Squanicook Colonial Quilt Guild hosts an opening reception for its annual quilt exhibit from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 14.

Guests are invited to meet the talented quilters behind this year’s display and learn more about the artistry and tradition of quilt making. Light refreshments will be served, sponsored by the Friends of the Lawrence Library.

The Squanicook Colonial Quilt Guild is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the art and craft of quilting through education, preservation and fellowship.

With 115 active members from north-central Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire, the guild offers opportunities such as open sewing sessions and workshops while maintaining a welcoming, small-guild feel.

Whether visitors are collectors, creators or simply admirers of quilts, guild members encourage the community to stop by, explore the exhibit and learn more about joining the organization.

The quilt exhibit will be on display through Monday, April 27, at the library which is located at 15 Main St.
