He is small but mighty — meet Hercules, a Shih-Tzu and poodle mix. He’s a little guy, and just 3 years old, but he’s a complex pup.
According to volunteers at Second Chance Animal Services, Hercules “isn’t a “love at first sight” kind of guy, he needs multiple meet-and-greets before feeling safe enough to go home. But once he trusts you, his bond is deep and devoted.”
He is a “one-on-one” dog, and would be best placed with a single-person household. He cannot go to an apartment and needs a home with more space.
He will bond closely with his person, so an owner with experience with small dogs who can be possessive could be the right fit. He has benefited from professional dog behavior training in the past, and definitely needs this work to continue so that his new person and he will be set up for success
