PRINCETON — Princeton Arts will present “Out the Studio Windows,” an illustrated lecture by noted nature artist Barry Van Dusen, from 7 to 8 p.m. onFriday, March 20, at the Princeton Community Center, 206 Worcester Road.
“While many artists travel far and wide in search of inspiration, others find a lifetime of subject matter close to home,” said Jean Strock, a member of Princeton Arts. “Andrew Wyeth created his iconic works in just two small regions of Maine and Pennsylvania, and Claude Monet spent the last four decades of his life painting the gardens just beyond his back door.”
Van Dusen has traveled extensively, yet he continues to discover plentiful natural beauty right outside his studio in central Massachusetts. Many of his detailed wildlife paintings are inspired by the birds, mammals and changing landscapes he observes through his own windows.
In this engaging one-hour talk, Van Dusen will share stories behind the artwork and take the audience along on his nature explorations “Out the Studio Windows.”
“I enjoy sharing my work and stories and I hope this program helps to connect people with the nature right outside their doors,” Van Dusen said.
