LEOMINSTER — Families looking for a fun and hands-on science adventure won’t want to miss “Explore Your World! Fizz, Foam, Bubble, Pop with Kosmic Kelly!” from 6:45 to 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11, at the Leominster Public Library, 30 West St.
Children ages 4-8 are invited to dive into a high-energy evening of experiments and discovery.
Young scientists will make their own lava lamps, create fizzy, colorful volcanoes, blow a bubble mountain with friends and watch the exciting reaction that creates “elephant toothpaste.”
“I enjoy offering science programs because it’s fun,” said Kelly Lavoie (fondly known as Kosmic Kelly) of Hands-on Science. “What I love best is to bring families and community together and create a fun space for an hour where we can learn, engage, and laugh. Science is fun no matter how old or young. I hope to spark curiosity and inspire people to go home and keep exploring and experimenting.”
The program is sponsored by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education’s ASOST Grant and administered by the United Way of North Central Massachusetts.
