Robert Siniscalchi
LAGRANGE — , pleaded guilty Tuesday night in LaGrange Justice Court to two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, according to authorities.
Siniscalchi, of Hyde Park, had initially pleaded not guilty at his June arraignment to three counts each of misdemeanor forcible touching and endangering the welfare of a child. The charges stemmed from incidents investigated by the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office.
Under a plea agreement with the Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office, Siniscalchi admitted to two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. The plea covers all original charges, including the three counts of forcible touching. Prosecutors have agreed to recommend a sentence of three years’ probation on each count. Orders of protection have been issued for all of the victims.
Sources told Mid-Hudson News that the plea deal was structured in part to protect the privacy of the victims, who would otherwise have been required to testify in open court.
Siniscalchi was placed on administrative leave from the Arlington Central School District following his arrest and later resigned his position, officials said. His arrest followed a month-long investigation by the sheriff’s office.
Sentencing is scheduled for May 5, 2026, in LaGrange Justice Court.
